Worktop Offers - Dispelling some Myths

Coming up to Christmas there's a rush of offers available from worktop providers and most of these can clearly be seen in the three sponsored links at the top of your google search page and those running down the right side but how can you tell if they are genuine and what should you look for before purchasing from them?
Well, first of all, there's nothing amiss in using the sponsored links to obtain more business although most people I know bypass them for the natural listings of a search page. Either way you can get stung without digging a little deeper and asking the questions that determine whether you end up with a Nightmare before Christmas or not, is well advised.
Using Corian worktops as perhaps the best example given the governance by which it is fabricated and installed, the first and most important step is to discover whether your provider is sanctioned by DuPont to undertake the work and that your 10 year warranty will remain intact if they do.
What else should we look for when being tempted by a hard to believe offer? Well, let's examine the most prevalent offer - 15%, 50% or whatever percent you like discount. - if a retailer was to suddenly hike the price of Corian worktops to twice that of their competitors and then offer a 15% discount, it's easy to do the Math and realise that they are, in reality, selling at 35% more than their rivals. Offers such as this come in different guises such as: a free sink with every worktop or we pay the vat or buy one get one free. A sure fire way of determining the truth behind an offer is to obtain three quotes and compare.
Don't get me wrong some offers are completely genuine yet it pays to research a little deeper before reaching a decision to buy. Special offers are, by definition, reductions in cost that last over a set period and can we really call it an offer if it appears to be listed all the time? Not in my opinion and to see the same so called worktop offers every time you visit a website or shop somehow manages to demean the value of a product.
Corian worktops are a bespoke product yet it isn't exclusive and genuine offers are available but buyers must take precautions and ask questions before choosing a provider.
What else should a buyer look for when purchasing Corian or any other worktop for that matter? Choosing a provider means researching them and discovering how long they have been in business for example, assessing their customer service skills and the  knowledge and eagerness to help of the staff you seak with before buying. Let's face it, some companies employ angels to sell their products only for those angels to metamorphasise into demons should an issue ever occur.
To dispel a further  myth about worktop offers and costs, there is a growing trend for buyers to contact a company and ask what their charge is per linear metre. After contacting two or three they somehow establish that the cheapest price per linear metre is the most affordable of the providers and in many cases, no doubt, they go ahead and buy without bothering to obtain another quote. Big, Big, Mistake and many sellers are all too aware that offering the best price per square metre or perlinear metre will win them your business with just one call. Let me just clarify, Price per linear metre or foot or square metre is no barometer to the cost of your project. Consider the fabrication costs for cut outs, polished ends, mitred profile downturns, upstands, end panel downturns, drainer grooves, holes etc Add to this template and installation and you'll see how important it is to obtain an, in full, like for like quotation. Then you will discover the true costs to assist you in making your kitchen worktop choice
