Why should I buy my worktops from TFI?

When you purchase a kitchen worktop from www.worktops-uk.com you are buying from one of the longest established and most trusted websites in the kitchen industry. T Foley Interiors offer an unrivalled support both on a dedicated telephone line and via the website forum. In a  unique and close collaboration with the largest worktop fabricator in the UK, we have developed a working method to ensure we offer the most competitive prices, the most efficient service, the best surfaces and unrivalled support both prior to and after fitting. The person you order with is your contact throughout the installation process and you are welcome to ask any questions of your contact regarding your project. Additionally, if you have any technical queries regarding your chosen product, Tim Foley and the kitchensfitted team are ready to answer them on the forum, via e-mail or, if you wish, on the phone.

Do you provide a template and fitting service nationwide?

Yes. We have installers that cover the whole of mainland UK and are employed by the company.

Can I install my own worktops?

If you choose to do so we can offer a “delivery only” service for your work surfaces but we do recommend that we template and fit them because we are unable to offer warranty on surfaces fitted by our clients

Will the quote you’ve offered be the price I actually pay?

This depends on how accurate the drawings/ details we were supplied with are. Everything we have quoted you for is detailed on the quote you received and, once determined at the templating stage, should the material amount increase or decrease then so will the quote but only in ratio to our regular pricing schedule.

How soon will I receive my quote?

If you choose to use our online quoting service, then within 24 hrs from submission. If you are not sure what details to provide and wish us to undertake the quote then we will require your address and contact details and a drawing or copy of your kitchen plan faxed to 0871 210 2006 or if you prefer, an attachment e-mailed to info@worktops-uk.com On receipt of the plan/drawing we will return your quote within 36 hrs.

I’m still unsure about what to choose and need more advice.

Why don’t you offer wood or laminate worktops?

Because although these worktops are good for the purpose when fitted correctly, proper maintenance by the buyer is paramount and given that wood and water provide an irreparable reaction, we are committed to offering what we consider are surfaces that require very little or no maintenance.

Where can I see displays and can I obtain samples?

We are happy to send out up to two samples of your chosen surface in conjunction with our being able to quote for your project and will require your choices, your address and contact details in an e-mail.  All samples sent are free including postage and packing but we do ask that you return them when you have decided.
We have a nucleus of retailers who hold a stock of samples of our surfaces and may have our surfaces on display in their showrooms. To arrange a visit please provide your address details and contact number and we will let you know of the nearest display you can visit.

You offer to beat any other quotes we receive for the same surface? How does this work?

Our aim is to beat any like for like quotation but first we have to be certain that a competitors quote is Bona Fide, from a reputable provider and is based on the same amount of material and labour as the quote we have provided you with.
To ensure this, we ask that you fax or e-mail an exact copy of the quote to us for comparison. We will treat the information you provide in the strictest of confidence.

How long, after order, does the process take?

We have a four week turnaround from order to completion with templating taking place within the first two weeks at the most convenient time for you. To guage the best idea of how to schedule your cabinet fitting and the worktop templating, why not call us for advice on 0844 415 4831

Do I need to be present during templating and installation?

Yes. It is important that you are present in order to convey your preferences to the templater who will be happy to offer you guidance on sink/hob positioning, overhangs etc. For installation it is imperative that we ensure that you are happy with the installation for your own benefit and for the benefit of maintaining our own high standards with the feedback we receive.

I’m still unsure about which surface to choose and I need advice?

Then go ahead and pick up the phone or visit our forum. We are an established website with a long history in the kitchen industry and are only too happy to help you make an educated decision. Tim Foley has appeared on and acted as consultant to a number of TV makeover shows and many of our projects have appeared in Home magazines so advice is our second line of business.

What about preparing the cabinets for heavy surfaces?

After order you will be sent a cabinet preparation guide devised by Tim Foley exclusively for our clients. This can be printed out and presented to your installer or you can follow the guide yourself should you be installing your own kitchen.

What guarantees do you offer?

We offer a 10 yr manufacturing warranty on Corian, Caesarstone, Compac Quartz, Silestone, Zodiaq and Sensa Granite . It's only right in our opinion that a manufacturer should have faith in bespoke products such as high quality worktops and our advice is to check this out with other providers before buying.
The guarantee offered on all surfaces is a manufacturers guarantee against defects and does not cover accidental damage of the surfaces. This is true of wherever you purchase your chosen surface from. It is therefore important that we highlight that cover for accidental damage is best obtained from your chosen insurance provider and can be in addition to an existing home policy. A statutory 12 month guarantee on fabrication and labour is offered for all surfaces we install.

For residents of Republic of Ireland or islands outside mainland UK. Can we purchase and have our surfaces fitted by TFI?

Absolutely. In fact many of our clients are from outside the UK and to save on costs some undertake or arrange templating themselves and send these to us for fabrication. When they are complete they then arrange pick up and installation. If you are interested in doing this then we are happy to advise on the procedure and to offer tips and advice on installation although we cannot be held accountable for projects we do not undertake direct template and installation of.

Do you offer trade prices?

All prices that we offer on Luxore Quartz, Zodiaq, Corian and Silestone Quartz are the same for all clients, regardless of it being a trade or residential project and with a growing number of trade projects we undertake, feedback we receive from all quarters proves that all the old clichés such as “direct from the factory prices” and “to the public at trade prices” are just promotional hooks. The reality is that we employ a policy of generating a greater volume of sales by setting a low mark up. Even greater discounts are available for all projects that are for more than one application and for commercial projects.

Do you only fit kitchen work surfaces?

No. We undertake all suitable applications for our projects including school laboratories, doctors or dental surgeries, new site or commercial projects, bathrooms, retail and food environments.

What are your payment terms?

We request a 10% deposit with remainder payable prior to installation.. We accept payments by a number of methods including Cheque, Bacs and Visa and other major credit cards. Please note there is a 1.8% charge for using credit cards. We also offer a very competitive finance package for all our bespoke surfaces so you can spread the cost of your worktops purchase.

What is Luxore quartz and why is it more affordable than other quartz surfaces?

Luxore quartz is a recognisable brand of quartz surfaces exclusively available through T Foley Interiors in partnership with one of the most trusted and longest established trade fabricators in the UK. Luxore arrives with a 10 years manufacturers guarantee. It's properties are no different to any other quartz surfaces such as Compac, Caesarstone, Arenastone. The palette is made up of 22 of the most popular and innovative colours of quartz and after three years in preparation for the market we now offer a range that allowed our visitors to purchase at a more affordable cost.

What other surfaces do you offer?

We offer Corian, Silestone, Compac Quartz, Caesarstone, Zodiaq Quartz and Cimstone. Corian is the only Solid Surface we offer and is most popular acrylic surface worldwide, is fully reparable and offers seamless joints and sink bowls.
Silestone is again a quartz surface manufactured on a Breton Machine yet it differs from other quartz surfaces in that it incorporates an anti-bacterial compound throughout the core of the full range of colours.

Can Quartz be repaired in the unlikely event they become damaged

This depends on the extent of the damage. Using a revolutionary kit, chips and scratches can be repaired. The everyday chores exercised in a kitchen should never pose issues that might create greater damage unless of course, you decide to tenderise your steak with a sledgehammer.

Can hot pans be placed directly on your surfaces?

Although all our surfaces have an extremely high resistance to heat, we strongly advise that metal trivets or a protective board is used when placing hot implements on the surface. This may be in stark contrast to what some untrained sales rep may have told you but that’s why they are eager Sales Reps and not Worksurface Experts.

T Foley Interiors has been established on the internet since 1999 and our whole history before we entered the internet age was solely within the kitchen industry. Our website, www.kitchensfitted.co.uk was, and remains, a trusted resource offering free advice for kitchen buyers worldwide. We actively encourage that you determine our suitability as a provider of your goods before buying and would ask that you also do similar with our competitors, some who have little or no knowledge of the goods they offer, to distinguish our capabilities.
